Van Halen launched their 41-date 2015 North American tour at West River Amphitheatre in Seattle on July 5.

The band kicked the night off with “Light Up the Sky,” a VH classic that they haven’t performed live since 1980. From there, they worked their way through a 26-song set list that included favorites like “Runnin’ with the Devil,” “Dance the Night Away” and “Hot for Teacher.”

Of course the highlight for most fans was Ed’s solo spot, where he shredded and double-tapped for nine minutes in a virtuoso performance that included “Eruption” and “Cathedral,” which we’ve provided below, along with the followup of “You Really Got Me” and “Panama.”
