Versoul Touco Classical Featured on Track by the Late Natalie Cole

February 10th, 2016

In the best recordings, the instruments and voices are expertly matched to support and balance one another. That interrelatedness is apparent on this track by the late Natalie Cole, from her 2013 album En Español album.

Titled “Amapola,” the song was performed with a Versoul Touco Classical guitar played by session guitarist Brian Monroney, providing exquisite accompaniment to Cole’s voice.

The Versoul Touco is owned by multi-Platinum Latin music songwriter-arranger-musician Rudy Perez, who also produced Cole’s record. Perez bought the Touco in 2000 from Andy Brauer’s Studio Rentals in North Hollywood. The guitar was a promotional sample and not for sale, but after playing it, Perez was so impressed that he refused to leave without it.

Have a listen to the Versoul Touco on this track.
