New Video from Bob Seger, Our March/April Cover Artist

February 12th, 2015

Guitar Aficionado is excited about our March/April 2015 issue. Not only is it our annual motoring issue—it also features a cover story on Bob Seger, the Motor City’s preeminent rock and roller.

In our interview, the Detroit native talks about his new album, Ride Out, as well as the role that cars have played in his life and songs.

While you wait for the issue, which goes on sale February 17, here’s a special treat.

Bob has released his video for “California Stars,” shot live during the Ride Out Tour’s Cleveland Quicken Loans Arena performance on December 4, 2014.

You may recognize the song from Mermaid Avenue, the 1998 album of songs created from previously unheard lyrics by Woody Guthrie. The lyrics were set to music by British singer Billy Bragg and Wilco.

I lost my husband of 31 years on 11/09/14.He looked so much like Bob it was kind of spooky. The first time I ever heard his music I was hooked, and then 15 years later I meet the man that was my life.So many of the songs reflect my life before and after the lose of my husband.thank you
