On the evening of Thursday, June 16, guitar mecca Rudy’s Music, in Manhattan’s SoHo district, was the scene of a celebration hosted by Guitar Aficionado magazine. A gathering of New Yorkers and guitar enthusiasts enjoyed an evening of jazz while sipping specialty Appleton Reserve cocktails such as the “Ultimate Mojito,” featured in the July/August issue of Guitar Aficionado. The eclectic crowd was entertained with a jazz performance by guitarist Jimmy Brown and upright bassist Matt Scharfglass.
