Boutique Chic: Versoul Instruments

March 23rd, 2011

By Tor Caracappa, Head of Visual for John Varvatos

“Exotic woods,” “hand-wound pick-ups”…these words seem to become more common with every passing day in the vast universe of guitars. However, there is nothing run-of-the-mill about the guitars made by Kari Nieminen of Helsinki’s Versoul Instruments.

On first fast glance the classic lines may remind you of something you’ve seen before, but take your time, soak it all in, and notice, say, the 23-carat gold leaf top of the Henry, or the LED-lighted glass lenses installed in the body of the Raya Billy F. Gibbons Blue Light Special, you’ll see these instruments are indeed something special. So good-looking, it almost hurts.

to the top , we’ve met Mr Gibbons a month ago for a presentation of our work , we presented him our “Pheaton” project as well a specially built guitar for this occasion named “El Mirage” that will be on our site soon .
