Boutique Chic: Dagmar Custom Guitars

July 14th, 2011

Like you, I love cool stuff. That said, a curvy guitar without a single 90-degree angle anywhere? Made from beautiful woods with a carbon-fiber lining, sporting both a retro look and a space age design? That all sounds cool. Even the fact that these Dagmars are constructed using a “string of math equations to calculate all of the continuously changing and transitioning radiuses that make up the shape of the guitar’s rim” sounds cool to me! I think Pete Swanson is on to something here….

Dagmar guitars are wooden musical wet dreams! Imaginative, whimsical styling, combined with skilled and careful craftsmanship and with great sound and feel… what more could anyone ask?

His guitars not only sound sexy, but they have better curves then my wife…shhh don’t tell her that. One day I hope to own one of his ladies.

If you think that Pete ‘…is on to something here,’ you should see some of his other creations. Cover your keyboard first…your drooling will short it out.

Dagmar has mastered a unique and beautiful process that enhances the look and sound of the traditional guitar.

Beautifully crafted, amazing construction, and unique designs. And some humorous nods to some of the inspirations. “Gretchen” for instance. A Dagmar is on my wish list!!
